Property taxes have increased 21% since 2002.
Toronto’s debt has increased 300%, operating expenses over 50%, while inflation was only 14%.
More increases are on the way.
GLENN DE BAEREMAEKER WAS A LOYAL FOOT SOLDIER
IN MAYOR DAVID MILLER’S TAX AND TAX SOME MORE
GOVERNMENT. HE VOTED YES FOR:
o the shopping bag fee
o the vehicle tax
o the land transfer tax
o supported a surcharge on disposable coffee cups.
WHAT WILL GLENN DE BAEREMAEKER TAX NEXT?
He also voted to make a questionable payment, approximately $65,000, to fellow Miller foot soldier, Adrian Heaps, Ward 35. This was to pay for legal bills incurred before Adrian Heaps was a councillor. This was at minimum a serious lapse in judgement. This matter is now before the courts.
